It comes up at my work to periodically make a list of items: “Institution is hiring for position.” Because I like creating more work for myself (and don’t like sounding like a robot) I want to mix up the phrasing, but when the deadline’s approaching I cannot imagine how else to say “is hiring.” I had a couple job descriptions come in recently that gave me some new synonyms:
- is hiring (variants: is looking to hire)
- is seeking (variants: seeks)
- is searching for (variants: has opened a search for)
- is in need of
- seeks (applicants) to fill the position of
- is interviewing (applicants) for (the position of)
